PIT MUSICIANS We're currently looking for student or alumni pit musicians on the following instruments - reach out to Prof. Dobby (jdobby@carrollu.edu) if you're interested in playing in the pit! Free housing from May 31-June 28 is granted to those registered (note that tuition must be paid for summer course registration.) STIPEND PAY Alumni receive a stipend for participating; and we hope incoming and current students will also receive a stipend through student worker funding. We will know final budgetary information soon! Alumni stipends come in three levels: Lead performer, Featured Performer, Ensemble. Levels of stipend also pertain to backstage/production positions. |

Rehearsals start Friday, May 31 and will occur Mon-Thurs between 4:00-9:00pm, and some Fridays TBD. Tech Week: Sunday, July 14 - Wednesday, July 17 from 6:00-10:00pm (no conflicts/absences allowed during tech week!) PERFORMANCES Performances happen the last two weekends in July (July 18-21 and July 26-27.) WHO CAN AUDITION/INTERVIEW Incoming students, current students, and Carroll alumni are allowed to audition for the cast, interview for backstage positions, and audition for pit musician positions. All auditioning or interviewing will be required to review and complete an Actor Comfort Survey and Theatre Program Code of Expectations document prior to auditioning. Sweeney Todd A wrongfully imprisoned barber seeking to right the wrongs committed against him. He is Johanna's father, singularly focused on taking bloody revenge. Our story's tormented protagonist. Gender: Male Age: 40 to 55 Vocal range: F2 - Gb4 Mrs. Lovett An entrepreneurial and amoral meat pie shop owner. She falls in love with Todd and turns his desire for revenge into a profitable business venture. Gender: Female Age: 35 to 50 Vocal range top: G3 - E5 Anthony Hope A naive and youthful sailor returning to London. He helps Todd return to London and unexpectedly falls in love with Johanna. Gender: Male Age: 20 to 30 Vocal range: Bb2 - F4 Johanna A spritely girl, full of innocence, constantly yearning for freedom. Todd's long-lost daughter and Turpin's ward. Gender: Female Age: 18 to 21 Vocal range: Bb3 - A5 Tobias Ragg A poor youngster apprenticed to Pirelli. He finds a surrogate family in Todd and Lovett. Gender: Male Age: 12 to 18 Vocal range: Bb2 - Ab4 Judge Turpin A lecherous public official who portrays himself as a sanctimonious authoritarian. He takes advantage of his position in the city and is responsible for imprisoning Todd. Gender: Male Age: 50 to 65 Vocal range: E2 - Gb4 The Beadle A pompous public official. He is deeply loyal to the corrupt Turpin. Gender: Male Age: 40 to 55 Vocal range: D3 - D5 Beggar Woman A deranged and schizophrenic woman who harbors a dark, surprising secret. Gender: Female Age: 35 to 50 Vocal range: Ab3 - F5 Adolfo Pirelli A flamboyant Italian rival barber; a charlatan with a secret past. Gender: Male Age: 30 to 45 Vocal range: B2 - C5 Jonas Fogg The owner of Fogg's Asylum. He sells the hair of madmen to wigmakers.
